Visiting East Asia - 2004
It was with delight and some relief that The Principal, Mrs Vicky Tuck, and the then Chairman of Guild, Mrs Mary Blackburn, travelled to East Asia in April this year. Their two week trip had, unfortunately, been cancelled the previous year due to the outbreak of the SARS virus. Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bangkok were on the itinerary this year and both Mrs Tuck and Mrs Blackburn were thrilled to meet so many Guild Members in each city. The Principal was very pleased to show highlights of some of the superb 150th events that had taken place during the year at College via a short video put together especially for the trip.
Pictured here are Guild Members, Mrs Donna Cheung (Wong, 1976-80), Mrs Tuck, Principal, Mrs Jane Fong (Yiu, 1976-78) and Dr Wendy Choy (Wong, 1977-79) at the Hong Kong 150th Anniversary Dinner held at the Hong Kong Country Club on Friday 16 April. All proceeds from this dinner were allocated to the fund to replace the organ in The Princess Hall and we are grateful to everyone throughout the region for their help and support with all our 150th Anniversary fundraising projects.
