Twelve Guild Members met at the Broomfield, Essex home of Anne Haward (Morrish). After
a delicious lunch we were able to stroll round Anne's beautiful garden. Some
of us had already attended reunions in Cheltenham, so there was much to talk
about. One member had brought along a College photograph, and much amusement
ensued as we attempted to identify friends and members of staff from longer
ago than most of us cared to remember!

An incredibly hot day! 15 guests attended a wonderful lunch in Ann Thomas's
(John) garden in Guildford. Such gatherings are always fun, with various
age-groups represented, all of us remembering similar experiences whilst at
CLC. We all thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thank you so much,
Ann - and Sarah - for all your hard work, which was much appreciated.
New Zealand
On CLC's birthday, 14 February 2004, Sarah Smith met Brigette Morrison and Caroline Swain at Carrick Vineyard, Bannockburn. Then on 3 April I met with Andrea Caldwell, Tessa Hay and Jo Lord at Brigettes Cafe in Christchurch. Meeting old girls who were at CLC in 1946 to those there in the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s was very interesting, particularly finding out the things that had not changed over that time! It was also interesting finding out what had brought everyone over to "middle earth"! The fact that we decided to meet in a vineyard surrounded by mountains on CLC's birthday may give you an indication of how New Zealand can persuade you to stay! There are 10 CLC Guild members on record living in the South Island of New Zealand. Hopefully there will be opportunities for more reunions soon.
