2007 Leavers' Ball
Accompanied by partners and parents, this year’s leavers all gathered for pre-ball drinks at their respective houses. At 7.30pm, we all headed down to College to be greeted by Mrs Tuck before our glass of champagne. The GCR was spectacularly transformed with decorations suiting this year’s theme of 'The Secret Garden': water fountains, toadstools, bird sounds and vines climbing up the walls!

As we milled around chatting before supper we were entertained by a magician and a jazz band. During dinner Georgie Raggett treated us to some of her songs and the silent auction was opened; there were some fantastic prizes including, at the last minute, a black labrador puppy! Just before pudding everyone gathered in the garden, with more champagne, for an amazing fireworks display, and to toast the leavers of 2007. After dinner Day Job started up in the PH with their new member, Jenny Liggins, as lead singer, and everyone piled onto the dance floor. he gamblers amongst us filled the GCR, trying their hand at the casino. The dance floor remained packed throughout the evening - we even managed to get Miss Kirk on the dance floor fter 31 years!

All in all, it was a wonderful evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was a lovely way to mark the end of our time at College with friends, for what has been for many, the most amazing experience.
